LA CANALETA
JUAN I MARI LOLI
Recovering the orchard has allowed us to enjoy a wine made from our own vineyards. A dream and an illusion of many years come true. We are those who believe that working the land of our ancestors is the most living legacy we can find.
ZAGATO
Zagato is the name of the perfectly oriented plot where the Monastrell vines used to make this exclusive wine are cultivated using traditional methods.
QUÀNTIC
The location of the vineyard is oriented east and below the Pic Negre (~1000 m) in Cocentaina in the Montcabrer area (1390 m) and within the Serra Mariola park. It has an altitude of about 550 meters. This situation means that the place does not suffer from frost compared to locations such as the Plana de Muro or other nearby locations since in the morning the sun only comes out as soon as it rises, but in the afternoon it is cool since the Pic Negre soon gives it shade.
Normally the minimums are mild and the maximums also especially in winter, spring and autumn. The daily temperature range is then relatively short between 5 and 10 degrees (below 5 degrees in January). In summer the situation is a little different since the sun is higher and the temperature range is longer with oscillations between 15 and 20 degrees. Precipitation records can be high in storms of gregal. The terrain contains a calcareous and stony soil. The terraces are narrow and long giving a stepped and terraced setting.
The plot has an area of one hectare, although the cultivated area is only 0.6 hectares due to its orography. The normal annual production is around 1500-2000 kg of grapes.
