Farannà – Almoroig

12,96

This grape variety, which appeared in old vines in the Comtat region, is little studied in terms of its origin, which is believed to be in Sicily and Tunisia. It is thought that it was brought by Muslims from Africa or by the troops of Roger de Lauria (Count of Cocentaina) after the conquest of Sicily for the Crown of Aragon (13th century). Whatever its true origin, we have a grape variety in our area that retains its general characteristics and adapts to the original terroir, producing white wines that are chalky, aromatic, fresh, and vibrant with good acidity.
